What private means here
In a private tour the guide works only with your group. Nobody else joins, and the guide can focus on your questions and pace. The museum itself stays public: you share the rooms with other visitors, and opening hours and gallery closures apply as usual.
Flexibility within the product terms
A private guide can usually spend more time where your group is interested and less where it is not. A family might focus on Egyptian antiquities and the medieval moat, while an art lover might prefer Italian painting. That flexibility has limits: the length of the tour, the language, the meeting point and the galleries open that day all still apply.
- Language. Choose an option in the language your whole group follows comfortably.
- Party size. The listing we reviewed allowed up to six participants.
- Duration. About two and a half hours, which is long enough for two or three areas at a relaxed pace.
Understanding the price
Private tours are priced differently from shared tours, and listings do not always make the unit obvious. A starting price can mean per person or for the whole group. Until we have confirmed the unit for this product in checkout, we do not show a number on this page. Enter the size of your group on Tiqets and compare the final total with two or three places on a small group tour.
If anyone in your party qualifies for free museum admission, check how the package treats them. A guided service can still have a separate charge even when museum entry is free.

Frequently asked questions
Is the price per person or per group?
We have not confirmed the price unit for this product. Open the option in Tiqets checkout and check whether the total changes with the number of participants before you pay.
How many people can join a private tour?
The listing we reviewed mentioned a maximum of six participants. Check the limit for your option, especially for larger families.
Will we have the museum or a gallery to ourselves?
No. The group is private, not the museum. You visit during public opening hours alongside other visitors.
Can we choose what to see?
A private guide can usually adapt the route to your interests within the product terms and the galleries open that day. Mention your priorities when the provider allows it.
Is the museum ticket included?
The listing we reviewed included the museum ticket. If someone in your party qualifies for free entry, check whether this changes the price of the package.
